Our Journey: From Humble Beginnings to Alberta’s Premier Oil Change Provider
At Lube City, our story is one of growth, dedication, and a commitment to excellence in vehicle maintenance. Since our founding, we’ve worked hard to establish ourselves as Alberta’s go-to quick oil change service.

August 1990: Established as Lube City with two stores in Regina and one in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

February 1992: Expanded into Alberta by acquiring two Lube City Express Oil Change locations in Edmonton.

April 1995: Opened a new store in Sherwood Park, Alberta, marking our first expansion within the province.

October 1995: Divested interests in Saskatchewan to focus exclusively on Alberta operations.

October 1996: Launched a new store in the Castledowns area of Edmonton.

September 1998: Acquired two former McQuicks Auto Lube locations in Calgary, enhancing our presence in southern Alberta.

June 2000: Opened a new store at Glenmore Trail and 32 Street SE in Calgary.

July 2000: Expanded to Leduc, Alberta, by purchasing Maverick Lube & Wash.

June 2002: Launched our official website and introduced a customer loyalty membership program.

March 2003: We opened our ninth location in Cochrane, Alberta.

April 2004: We celebrated the grand opening of our 10th location in Stony Plain, Alberta.

September 2005: We opened our 11th location in Beaumont, Alberta.

April 2006: We expanded to Strathmore, Alberta, with our 12th location.

June 2006: We launched our 13th location in Whitecourt, Alberta.

June 2006: Established our 14th location in Brooks, Alberta.

October 2006: Opened our 15th location at Roper Road and 75th Street in Edmonton.

February 2007: Acquired Brooks Lube and Alignment, marking our second location in Brooks and 16th overall.

April 2007: We expanded to Harvest Hills in Northwest Calgary with our 17th location.

April 2008: Purchased All-Trans Fast Lube at 4833 Macleod Trail SW in Calgary, relocating from 9253 Macleod Trail SW.

March 2009: Opened our 18th location in St. Albert, Alberta.

July 2010: Selected as an AMA Approved Battery Change Location Centre.

September 2011: Celebrated the opening of our 19th and 20th locations in Fort Saskatchewan and Airdrie, respectively.

September 2013: We launched our 21st location at 640 Manning Crossing in Northeast Edmonton.

May 2014: Opened a new location in Blackfalds, Alberta.

June 2014: Established our 22nd location at 16525 – 50 Street in Northeast Edmonton.

July 2014: Acquired three Superlube stores in Grande Prairie, expanding our footprint to 25 locations.

June 2016: Launched our 26th location in Calgary at 116 Country Village Rd. NE.

November 2016: Opened our 27th location at 1272 Webber Greens Drive in Edmonton.

April 2017: Celebrated the opening of our 28th location at 2316-23 Avenue in Edmonton

December 2017: Established a new location at 720 Parsons Rd. SW in Edmonton.

April 2023: Acquired Mike’s Lube ‘n Clean at 10506 – 99 Ave in Grande Prairie, marking our 28th Alberta location and third in Grande Prairie, which includes car wash, detailing, and U-Haul services.
